AASANDHA SCHEME - OVERSEAS TREATMENT

Request for Treatment while Abroad

Patients who travel overseas independently may submit documents from Aasandha-empaneled hospitals in India and Sri Lanka only.

Coverage is provided only for:

• Medical emergencies, accidents and trauma or
• Treatments not available in the Maldives

Application Process

To apply for Aasandha cover while overseas, relevant documents pertaining to the case must be submitted to Aasandha through an empaneled hospital.

These documents should include:

• The patient’s diagnosis, his current status and medical history
• Treatment plan and required diagnostic procedures
• Copy of the patient’s national ID card (both sides)
• Overseas contact number

The Recommendation Form is not required in such cases.
