The total expenditure blocked under the Aasandha scheme from July 1st to September 30th, 2024, is MVR 903 million. This is an increase of 8.4% compared to the same period last year. The total expenditure blocked under the Aasandha scheme in the third quarter of 2023 was MVR 833 million.
The number of individuals who received services under the Aasandha scheme in the third quarter of this year has also increased compared to the same period last year. This year, 280,491 individuals received services, up from 278,255 last year.
In the third quarter of this year, a total of 2,370 individuals received treatment abroad, and 1,226 medical evacuations were conducted to transfer patients locally from one island to another for emergency medical treatments.
