The total expenditure blocked under the Aasandha scheme from April 1st to June 30th, 2024, is MVR 823 million. This is an increase of 11.5% compared to the same period last year. The total expenditure blocked under the Aasandha scheme in the second quarter of 2023 was MVR 738 million.
The number of individuals who received services under the Aasandha scheme in the second quarter of this year has also increased compared to the same period last year. This year, 265,059 individuals received services, up from 260,725 last year.
In the second quarter of this year, a total of 2,807 individuals received treatment abroad, and 1,232 medical evacuations were conducted to transfer patients locally from one island to another for emergency medical treatments.
